Benefits of installing as a PWA

• Own window -- AstraChat runs in a standalone window, separate from your browser. You can switch to it from your Dock (Mac) or Taskbar (Windows) just like any other app.
• Desktop notifications -- Receive push notifications for new messages and conversation assignments, even when the app window is minimized.
• Quick launch -- Launch AstraChat from your Dock, Taskbar, Start Menu, or Launchpad without opening a browser first.
• Automatic updates -- The app updates itself automatically whenever improvements are deployed. You never need to manually update or reinstall.

Steps

1. Open Google Chrome and navigate to chat.astranexo.com/app.
2. Look for the install icon in the address bar -- it looks like a monitor with a down arrow. Click it. Alternatively, click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner and select "Install AstraChat...".
3. A dialog will appear asking you to confirm the installation. Click "Install".
4. AstraChat will open in its own window and automatically appear in your Dock.

Steps

1. Open Safari and navigate to chat.astranexo.com/app.
2. Click File in the menu bar, then select Add to Dock. You can also click the Share button in the toolbar and choose Add to Dock from the dropdown.
3. Optionally customize the name for the app, then click Add.
4. AstraChat will appear in your Dock and in Launchpad, ready to launch like any native app.

Steps

1. Open Microsoft Edge and navigate to chat.astranexo.com/app.
2. Click the three-dot menu (⋯) in the top-right corner.
3. Go to Apps and select Install AstraChat.
4. Click Install in the confirmation dialog.
5. AstraChat will open in its own window and appear in your Dock and Applications folder.

Steps

1. Open Google Chrome and navigate to chat.astranexo.com/app.

4. In the installation dialog, you can choose to pin to taskbar, pin to Start, and create a desktop shortcut. Select your preferred options.
5. Click Install. AstraChat will open in its own dedicated window.

Key things to know

• Automatic updates -- The PWA updates itself automatically whenever changes are deployed to AstraChat. You never need to manually download or install updates. Simply close and reopen the app to pick up the latest version.
• Desktop notifications -- Notifications work just like a native app. Make sure you allow notifications when prompted so you receive alerts for new messages and conversation assignments.
• Window management -- You can resize, reposition, minimize, and maximize the AstraChat window however you like. Your window position is remembered between sessions.
• Same data everywhere -- All your conversations, settings, contacts, and data are the same whether you access AstraChat from the installed app or from a browser tab. Everything stays in sync.
